Diggers have done extensive trialing of heirloom and modern varieties at Seymour as well as some at Dromana so the varieties listed in the catalogue should be well suited to Victorian conditions. They have been responsible for re-introducing a lot of near forgotten varieties, many of them once gardeners favourites.

Eden Seeds
MS 905
Lower Beachmont 4211

Eden Seeds have an extensive range of open pollinated traditional varieties and only stock seed with no chemical treatment. They have been committed to supporting a network of small growers, many of whom are either organic or biodynamic. This is just part of their commitment to preserving our traditional varieties
If they are seeking reliable growers for a variety the code has a S beside it {Eden}S Seed is available in bulk for some of the lines and these are marked {Eden*}
They have kindly allowed us to draw info from their catalogue and where we have directly quoted we have put the Eden code in this type of bracket [Eden]. The generosity is greatly appreciated, as time goes on we will accumulate more data, however in the meantime Eden Seeds have helped us put together an informative list.
The extent that they have researched the catalogue is excellent and there is generally a Latin name available which is very helpful when working out potential crossing between varieties.
All seed is $1.80 a pack and they have an excellent range of herbs, flowers and trees. They also stock a very good range of gardening books with emphasis on Permaculture, Biodynamics and Organics.
